Post Camp Message

Dear all,

The year-end camp has been a success, thanks alot to the hard work put in by the camp committee and the sec 3s, and the co-operation and involvement from everyone.  I hope everyone has enjoyed the camp as much as I do.  I really enjoyed the finale (cheering item)…the ponyo, little Mr & Miss, Ding Shan & etc..very creative…haha.

Even though the camp has come to an end but new friendship fostered throughout the 4 days will continue. And not forgetting our upcoming concert, ALLA MARZIALE VII..We are left with FOUR days!  Let’s work hard to make this concert a great success too..  

Rest well & shall see all of you tml..

Announcement

There are a few announcements to be made. They are:

(1) Band Uniform

To all SLs, please gather information from all your sec2 & sec3 members on BOTH their jacket & pants tag numbers.  The tag number can be found at the back of the jacket and pants.  After getting all the information, please write them down on a piece of paper.

Please submit the piece of paper to Mdm Ang by 21st October (Wednesday) when band resumes.  And please inform your sec2 & 3 members to check their uniform.  If they have outgrown their uniform, please see Mdm Ang on the following dates for an exchange of uniforms:

21/10 – 24/10 = sec3s

26/10 – 28/10 = sec2s

Note: Exchange of uniform WILL NOT be entertained after the above dates.

(2) Band Fund

The next collection of band fund would be on 24th October (Saturday).  The amount would have a slight change for this time only.  The amount would be $2 as the extra $1 is for the payment of band fund for the week before the exam break.  So SLs, please inform your members about it.

(3) Others

Band will resume on 21st October (Wed), timing would be 1.45pm in CDS. Please remind your members to bring their instrument, mouthpiece, pencil & files back.

Reminder: SLs please ask all your members to look through their files.   Those who had taken instrument and mouthpiece home will have to practise before coming for the next rehearsal.  Those without instrument will have to look through all the scores (we are the world, chester overture, lion king, phantom of the opera, march together, foundation in performances, individual ensemble pieces, formation pieces) required for our upcoming events. All these little things will definitely help to make the upcoming rehearsal more efficient and effective.

Rehearsal resumes on 21st Oct (Wed)

I strongly believe that all students have unlimited potential, waiting to be unleashed.

Attitude is the KEY to everything.

Here, all the teachers in OPWO and the committee members would like to wish all musicians all the best for their studies and work hard for this one month break and get good results. Study well, rest well, and we will meet again together as a band next month.
